I. Introduction
Vose Boys Inc. is a large company that produces and designs toys for children of all ages. The Vose Boys Inc has been in business for the past five years and lately some of the prototypes of the newest toys have been coming up missing. Along with this some of the designs for the toys are being put on the market before us. Our main building where all prototypes and designs are held is located in a warehouse office inside of a wall safe.
This proposal is for an experienced IT professional who has a good background since there will be a background check done before being considered for the job. Also, a list of professional references which can provide confirmation on the contractors experience and dependability. This is not to say that you will not be considered for the job if something does come back, however honesty
II. The Scope
The goal of this proposal is to have the security of the business improved and along with this some suggests on another idea to make it so that no external storage devices can be used. If this can be done then it will be added into the proposal and the necessary changes to the budget will change to accommodate the additional expense.
The contractor will be given a full tour of the facility and given an opportunity to come up with a proposed budget and layout of where all security upgrades will go. After this proposal has been reviewed and accepted there will be some flexibility allowed since not all mishaps can be foreseen. These circumstances will be discussed at the time the contractor has been accepted to complete the contract, in the hopes to prevent any delays in the completion of the security upgrades.
III. Equipment
The equipment that is already in place is as follows:
1. Security cameras
2. Security Room
3. Wall Safe
4. Locks on all doors
5. Computers
6. All hardware
Upgrades:
1. Security cameras (newer version)
2. Number locks on doors and key cards for employee entry
3. Wall safe in a hideaway vault or just not so in the open
4. Security room has recorders and better TVs to see the ware house with.
5. Computers secured from external hardware.
6. Open to any other suggestions that the vendor might think appropriate
IV. Staffing and Budget
The contractor will be given the opportunity to choose a reasonable number of employees to help install and teach staff how to properly use the new security devices and inform them that removable media will no longer be used.
Any and all hardware and software will be purchased by the contractor. The contractor should already know what is needed and this will be added into the budget so that the purchasing of hardware and software will not come out of the contractor’s pocket. With this in mind a list of all hardware and software needed must be provided so that there are no issues with quantity, brand, and cost.
V. Timeline
There is approximately one to two months that are in place to allow the contractor to put the new equipment in place. This is not including the tour of the facility and the purchasing of new equipment, hardware, or what other items that might be needed.
